Hands-on with Hadoop ecosystem (regardless of distributive)

Experience with cloud (AWS (EMR, Lambda, Redshift, Kinesis, DynamoDB, etc), GCP (BigQuery), Azure (HDInsight))
Experience with Kafka and Kafka Streaming
Experience with any NoSQL DBs (Cassandra, MongoDB, HBase, etc)

Agriculture

Description: an agricultural client has 2 peak seasons of heavy analytics workload, and a full scale on-prem solution has been in use the entire year. The project goal is to reduce cost and convert to on-demand analytics in AWS cloud.

Tools: Java, AWS, Hadoop, Spark, Spark SQL, docker and Airflow.

Mass-media

Description: the project provides a NLP / machine-learning product for a large media organization.

The project uses a combination of machine-learning and rule-based techniques.

Tools: Scala, AWS, Hadoop, Docker, Kubernetes, Akka, Linux and Spark MLib.

Retail and distribution

Description: a project for a major USA cosmetology company. They want to migrate their business processes along with ETL workflows to Azure cloud. Successful candidates will work within a team of highly-qualified professionals, building data pipelines using most of the cutting-edge Big Data technologies, like Spark, Flink, Kafka, memSQL, etc.

Tools: Java, Azure HDInsight, Hadoop, Kafka, Spark and Flink.

Multimedia

Description: a project for a large multimedia company to build DataMart along with optimizing a couple of their existing business processes and workflows.

Tools: Scala/Java, Spark, Hive and AWS.
